Privacy policy

This policy applies to this website, operated by Husky Business Solutions LLC, dba Husky Bookkeeping (“Husky Bookkeeping,” “we,” “us”). It does not cover any client portal, accounting software, or other service we may use once you are a client — those are covered by the terms of that provider and any engagement letter you sign with us directly.

Information you give us. If you submit the contact form on the “Who we are” page, we collect your name, business name (if provided), the email address or phone number you give us, what you're looking for, and anything you write in the message field. We use this only to reply to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to set up your engagement.

Information collected automatically. Our host, Netlify, receives standard request details (such as your IP address and browser type) when your browser loads a page, and keeps server logs. We also use Netlify Analytics, which reads those logs to give us aggregate numbers, like how many people visited a page. It doesn't use cookies or scripts in your browser, and it doesn't follow you across other websites. See Netlify's privacy policy.

We advertise through Google Ads, and this site carries Google's advertising tag so we can see which ads bring people here and which lead to a contact request.

If you say “That's fine” on our cookie banner, Google may set advertising and analytics cookies in your browser and collect details such as the pages you view, your IP address, your device and browser, and whether you arrived from one of our ads. Google uses that to measure ads and, under its own policies, may use it to personalize ads. What Google does with it is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If you say “No thanks,” the site works exactly the same and we tell Google not to store advertising or analytics cookies. The tag still loads, so Google may receive limited signals that don't rely on cookies — for example that a page was viewed, your IP address and browser details, and that you declined — which it uses to estimate results in aggregate.

When you send the contact form, we tell Google Ads that a form was submitted so we can count it as a lead. That message doesn't include anything you typed into the form.

We remember your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we don't keep asking; it isn't sent to us. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

• To respond to your discovery-meeting request or question.
• To set up and administer your bookkeeping engagement, if you become a client.
• To understand, in aggregate, how people use the site so we can improve it.
• To measure whether our advertising brings people to the site and leads to contact requests — with cookies if you've said yes, and only in aggregate, without cookies, if you haven't.

We do not sell your contact-form details or any financial information to anyone.

We use a small number of service providers to run this site and respond to inquiries:

• Netlify — hosts the site, processes contact-form submissions (Netlify Forms), and provides the traffic analytics described above.
• Google — receives the advertising-tag information described above. We don't send Google what you type into the contact form.

Once you're a client, your financial records are handled through whatever bookkeeping software we agree to use together (for example QuickBooks, Xero, or Wave) under that provider's own terms — never through this website.

We don't share your information with data brokers, and we only disclose it beyond the above if required by law.

We keep contact-form submissions as long as reasonably useful for following up with you — generally no more than a couple of years if nothing further develops. If you become a client, records tied to your engagement are kept in line with standard bookkeeping and tax-recordkeeping practice, and any engagement letter you sign will say more. Google's cookies expire on Google's own schedule, and you can delete them from your browser at any time.

Cookies. Use the Cookie settings link to switch between “That's fine” and “No thanks” whenever you like. You can also manage Google's ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, or clear cookies in your browser.

Your information. You can ask us, at any time, what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to anything we're required to keep for legal or recordkeeping reasons). Email interest@huskybooks.com and we'll take care of it.

This site is a business-to-business marketing site and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and change the effective date above.
